About Group Training South West
COMPANY HISTORY
Welcome to one of Western Australia’s largest and most experienced group training employers, with many years of experience assisting employers, employing apprentices, and providing training – generally supporting all aspects of apprenticeship employment and training.
Commencing in 1986 with just 12 apprentices in the building and construction sector, the company has grown to become the company of choice for many host employers and businesses within all sectors of industry and trades.
We are, and have always been, a not-for-profit organisation, with surpluses being reinvested back into our organisation to improve and expand the services we offer to the community.
Achievements to date:
- We are the largest regional group training company in WA, and the 2nd largest in the state – currently employing over 500 Australian Apprentices
- We have experienced around 250% growth in the past decade
- Today, we operate out of more than eight (8)) locations throughout Western Australia, and employ a staff of approaching 70 people
- We are the largest Australian Apprenticeship Centre in the Southern Region of WA
- We started as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in 1993, and now provide specialist nationally recognised training in business, retail, automotive, construction, and engineering
Our greatest achievement, though, are the many young people in WA who got their start in a career with us, and who have now moved on to be successful business operators and major contributors to our local community.
